At long last the trade show circuit is over with. In the last month we’ve done the Globalshop Show in Las Vegas, the Tim-Br Mart show in Toronto and the Home Hardware show in St. Jacob’s, Ontario. Good times all around.
The Globalshop show was a tremendous success for the Battery Powered Kiosk. Having a booth at the show was a last minute decision, which limited us to what we could do. We ended up with a 10′ x 10′ booth with the 40″ version and the 24″ version in the booth and a backdrop, that’s it. The interest was overwhelming. The World’s top retailers were all over us. The product is truly revolutionary in terms of retail display and affords so much flexibility that it is a no-brainer for leading edge promotion.
We did manage to have a little fun while we were there as well. We had some clients accompany us to the Las Vegas Gun Range. Very Cool! We shot several different machine guns along with a shooting competition with a .45 cal. Desert Eagle handgun. A little bit awkward and surreal listening to the guy that worked there talk about the guy’s jaw that he blew off when he was in Iraq. The group was a little taken aback. Anyway, I won the shooting competition with a dead bullseye, so don’t mess!
I’m attaching a couple photos of the booth and of Hoover Dam. Interesting fact. Approximately 20 people per year jump off of the dam to their demise. I don’t get it. It would be like sliding down a giant cheese grater. Not fun. Also attached some images of the booth in Las Vegas, the booth in Toronto and what I thought was a funny picture of an outdoor toilet in Germany.
Well the Leafs had a good second half run, but have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. Next year can’t come soon enough. Now that playoffs have begun, it’s time to change the attitude altogether. Go Canucks and Canadiens!
The Toronto Blue Jays, on the other hand, are off to a great start! Looking forward to more of the same.
Lastly, but certainly not least, we’re proud to announce the addition of Chantal Belley to the customer service group here at CBSF. We’re sure that she will be a positive addition to an already fantastic team.
