An Overdue Update

I haven’t written in a while so I may run on a bit as I have a few things to talk about. I’ve just found out that some of my relatives actually read this thing to find out what’s new in my life as I may be a little difficult to get in touch with. So that’s going to change things ever so slightly as my audience is slightly different than my initial intentions. Hi Aunt Lori.

Well, the Bears and the Leafs are certainly coming unglued. I have just about resolved myself to stop talking about them altogether. There is hope, be it ever so slim. I’m starting to think that MLSE owns the Chicago Bears.

Our second Lemon store is complete and open for business in Morpeth, England. It turned out incredible and the store sales are through the roof. I will be posting some photography soon.

We’ve wrapped up the first phase of the Cell Shop program for Future Shop. 60 Stores in 3 months. Our next project is a state of the art Gaming shop within a shop. There will be two stores targeted for this treatment and they will be stunning. More to come in the near future.

Shoppers Drug Mart is business as usual. Actually, come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever Blog’d about SDM. Well, they are our oldest and largest customer to date. SDM has proven to be an excellent partner over the years. Anyone who lives retail in Canada, knows that they have been doing alot of expansion over the last few years. Their stores are bigger and brighter than ever before and we are proud to have been and continue to be a large part of their success. SDM has played a big part in revolutionizing the pharmacy business in Canada and in North America as a whole.

Longo’s has another store opening coming up on Wednesday December 2nd at Bathurst and Rutherford in Thornhill. I went for a walk thru of the store last week and it is awesome. Each store that we build together is better than the last.

We had the guys from Canadian Tire come by for a tour and to show them some prototypes that we have been working on for them. I have a very long history of partnering with the people at Canadian Tire going back 15 years to my early days in this industry at Ontario Store Fixtures.

I’m heading to India in a couple weeks to see, in person, whether there are any opportunities for growth there. We had selected India and Europe as well as China as areas of development for us as they were rapidly emerging and in some cases our current clients were looking to expand into those regions. Our presence there could certainly help that process along.

I think that’s all for now. I’m going to try to get back to writing on a more regular basis.
